Zhejiang’s Wanli University welcomes a special pair of overseas students this September. School staff recalled how, on registration day, they made the office more like a kindergarten, huanqiu.com reports

Husband Andrzej Glos, a 36-year-old software designer, and his wife Evgeniya Glos, 33, came to China to study Chinese in southeastern Zhejiang province. Andrzej said that his wife and he had studied Chinese for six months before coming to China.

Instead of leaving their daughters at home like Chinese parents might choose, the Polish couple take their six daughters, aged between eleven months and ten years old, wherever they go. Andrzej said that no matter where he and his wife may go, taking care of children is their responsibility.

The couple also has their own educational methods and philosophy, which are quite different from those of many Chinese families. Andrzej said that he seldom let their children get access to television, computers or other digital devices. Evgeniya and Andrzej spend much time with their children, teaching them painting and singing.

Since they haven't found a suitable nanny, they have to take turns to attend classes - one takes care of the children when the other is in class.

Andrzej said that the best way to learn a foreign language is to go to that country. Being in a foreign country means that you automatically learn the country’s language as well as culture and customs. The Polish couple is fascinated by China’s history and Chinese traditional medicine. Andrzej said he would like their children to learn Chinese as well.
