A young lady has been named "most beautiful bride" after trying to save a drowned man in Dalian, northeast China. Lately, she declined a 10,000 yuan Good Samaritan bonus from Alibaba Foundation, saying it is her job saving life, no matter she is wearing a nurse suit or not.

Guo Yuanyuan, a cardiac nurse, was taking her wedding photos when she heard that a man swimming in the sea had drowned after a sudden heart attack.

The brave woman immediately rushed to the scene and gave cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to him. For 20 minutes she was desperately fighting for his life before paramedics arrived.

Unfortunately, despite the bride and medics’ efforts, the man didn’t regain consciousness and eventually died.

Guo’s photos trying to save the man wearing her wedding dress went viral online. She was praised for her determination and dubbed as "Dalian’s Most Beautiful Bride."

Alibaba Foundation later decided to give 10,000 yuan ($1,600 ) bonus for this Good Samaritan. But Guo declined, saying saving life is her job whether she wears the nurse suit or not. Guo Yuanyuan hope the money will go to someone who needs it.
