SYDNEY, Sep 21- From 18 to 20 September, Huaxia Cup 8th International Chinese Debating Championship was held in the University of New South Wales in Australia. In the final on 20 September, NUS (National University of Singapore) Chinese Debate Team defeated UNSW (University of New South Wales) Chinese Debating Club, and Chenxi Liu from the NUS received the title of "Best Debater".
International Chinese Debating Championship has been held for 8 years, giving young people a stage to show themselves and promote Chinese culture. This year, 16 debate teams from universities worldwide participated in the championship. Famous Online TV program stars Zhizhong Huang, Chen Qiu and Rujing Yan joined the championship as judges and made a debating performance.
Huaxia Cup 8th International Chinese Debating Championship was jointly held by Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, People's Daily Online Australia and UNSW Chinese Debating Club.
