BEIJING, Sept. 1-- China and Kazakhstan should further security cooperation to combat the "three forces" of terrorism, separatism and extremism, China senior legal affairs official Meng Jianzhu said Tuesday.

Meng, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with Nurlan Ermekbaev, Kazakh presidential aide and secretary of national security council.

The Chinese legal chief said that thanks to the promotion of the two countries' presidents, the comprehensive strategic partnership of China and Kazakhstan had seen sound development.

Among all the areas of bilateral cooperation, security cooperation was highlighted, said Meng, adding that he hoped the two sides could further coordination to combat the three evil forces.

Ermekbaev said the Kazakh side was willing to deepen security cooperation with China.
