Rocket booster lands in villager’s home in Shaanxi

On Aug. 27, 2015 10:40, a villager’s home was destroyed by a fallen unknown object in Hongjun town of Xunyang county, Shaanxi Province, and there was no one injured, the youth.cn reports.

The Public Security Bureau in Xunyang county, Ankang city, Shaanxi Province confirmed that it is debris of a rocket launch booster and there was no other risk and informed the people not to panic.

At 10:31 on Aug. 27, No. 27 remote sensing satellite has been sent to space successfully by Long March 4C in Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, reported by Xinhua.

According to lands, the losses caused by the rocket debris will be compensated by the national and local governments.

Yu Menglun, researcher in Chinese Academy of Sciences, said Chinese rockets have a fixed range of falling area which are generally selected in sparsely populated areas, such as the area between two provinces; the regional width is about 30 km and the length 50-70 km..
