Hundreds of people flocked to a crossroad in Mian County, Shaanxi Province, to pick up what they thought as gold early on August 26.
A large patch of golden powder was seen glittering on the crossroad since early that morning.
Numerous people hurried over to gather as much “gold” as they could; some called and asked their friends to bring a large bag over.
The crowd grew so huge that it paralysed traffic. And what was this sparkling powder really?
A logistic company nearby said that was just the sulfur powder happened to spill out from their truck.
