The million-kilowatt water-cooling centrifugal chiller for Nuclear Power plant developed independently by Gree Electric Appliances, Chinese air conditioning enterprise is identified to reach advanced world standards.

Experts of the National Energy Administration told the Xinhua News Agency that the achievement will help China to break the European and American monopoly on the core technology and pave the way for the production and exports of China’s homemade nuclear power equipment.

“The pump of the centrifugal chiller are independently researched and developed by Gree, so it has completed proprietary intellectual property right,” said Huang Li, Vice Director General of Technical Equipment Department of the National Energy Administration.
