Thirty people injured after a Hainan Airlines (HU) plane was rocked by severe turbulence while flying from Chengdu, capital of China’s Southwest Sichuan province, to Beijing, according to sina.com.

Flight HU7148, performed by an Airbus A330-200, was descending when the aircraft encountered strong air turbulence. The plane managed a safe landing at 14:17 pm local time.

Thirty were injured, among them several crew members included. 23 of them are still in hospital receiving treatment.
