Recently, Chongqing Evening News had an experimental test on metro line in Chongqing by pretending to doze off and fall off on strangers’ shoulders unconsciously. The result proves warm that most of the passengers lent their shoulders to strangers.
Experimenters:
Time: August 4, 2015
Place: Metro Line 2 of Chongqing
Method: Lend strangers’ shoulders by pretending to sleep
Females are more concerned about disturbance
In a survey with 50 readers, 28 readers maintain that it doesn’t matter to lend shoulders to strangers if they are truly dozing off; 12 hold that it depends on different situations and 10 readers note that they are unwilling to lend shoulders to strangers.
However, among the 28 readers who are willing to lend their shoulders, 26 of them insist that they will reconsider as the case may be if the strangers are way too badly-dressed.
Among the 10 readers who completely refuse to lend their shoulders, 8 are females. Miss Zhang says that it doesn’t matter to lend shoulders to strangers, but it does matter if the strangers are intentional.
With inherent sense of precautions, women are prone to success
Social psychologist Tan Gangqiang believes that most people are kind hearted and willing to lend their shoulders. However, humans have inherent sense of precautions for strangers. It’s natural that beauty or ugliness will turn to be one of the elements narrowing the psychological distance between strangers.
