A young man Zhang has swindled 20,000 yuan out of businessmen Song in the past 10 months by pretending to be a beautiful girl. He has been sentenced 3 years in prison.

25 year-old Zhang looks gentle and his voice is just like a girl’s. He acquainted with Song through Wechat in April last year and he told song he was a 22-year-old girl named Jiang Wei. “Women can get more care and attention, so I pretended to be a young girl, ” said Zhang.

Then they began chatting on the phone and Wechat. As they knew more about each other, Song had a crush on Zhang and they became “lovers”. Since then, Zhang has repeatedly asked money from Song through fabricating various excuses.

 “I had never doubted he was a man at very beginning. He sent me pictures of a young girl to dispel my doubts,” said Song. Zhang later met with song and told him that he was a young brother of "Jiang Wei". Song found his voice is similar to the girl’s and reported Zhang to police.
