Recently pictures of an American puggle with an unhappy face has gone viral on many Chinese social media platforms as well as newspapers, attracting over two million viewers from all over the country.

The pictures of the dog, Earl, first appeared on Reddit and became a sensation in the United States. They soon were uploaded on all China’s social media outlets and became a hot topic to many netizens of China.

Most people just were amused by the cute but angry expressions of the dog, saying “ if you are not happy today, just look at this dog, it will make you laugh.”

Earl is a second-generation puggle who lives in Iowa. His owner Derek Bloomfield said the dog is very friendly with people, although it looks grumpy.
