
People mourned the victims of the Tangshan earthquake in front of the Victim Memorial Wall on July 28, 2015 to mark the 39th anniversary of the deadly disaster in Tangshan, Hebei province, China.
39 years ago, on July 28 at 3:42am local time, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook the unprepared city and killed 242,000 people and injured over a million . The causalities were considered the biggest in the 20th century world history.
