
BEIJING, July 20 -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has opened an investigation into Ling Jihua's suspected bribery case and decided to arrest him in accordance with the law.
Investigation into the case of Ling, formerly vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is under way in accordance with the law, said the SPP in a statement released late Monday.
