A naughty monkey that has disturbed the residents of a community in Hanyang District, central China's Wuhan for half a year finally got caught by Wuhan Zoo on July 6, 2015.
On the afternoon of July 6, Miss Chen, a resident in the community, called the police for a "monkey break-in", saying that a monkey was rummaging through her home for snacks.
The police contacted Wuhan Zoo and vets and animal experts were sent to Miss Chen's house to work with the police. They asked Miss Chen to close all the windows and doors, in case that the monkey would escape.
After the catchers arrived, two of them stayed outside the door, and two opened the door slightly and burst in the room. In less than 2 minutes, the "monkey king" was caught by a net. The money then was sent to the zoo.
According to Wuhan Zoo, the monkey is a macaque. Residents of the community in Hanyang District have repeatedly reported to the zoo and police of being disturbed by a monkey. After investigating the "crime scenes" for many times, the zoo has confirmed that the offender is the same monkey.
