HAVANA, June 27 -- Cuba and China should join hands to further improve bilateral relations and boost cooperation, Raul Castro, President of the Council of State of Cuban, has said.

Castro make the remarks during his talks with visiting Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang on Thursday at the Cuban Revolutionary Palace in Havana.

In the meeting, Wang called on the two countries to make concerted efforts to implement the agreements achieved during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Cuba last year and take measures to cement traditional friendship between China and Cuba.

The two countries should make plans for future cooperation, with special attention attached to infrastructure construction, biotechnology, agriculture and renewable energy, Wang said.

He also gave an introduction about China's current effort to comprehensively deepen reform.

Castro said that Cuba and China should further improve bilateral relations, boost cooperation and exchange governance experience.

Cuba also needs to learn from China's experience in reform and opening up, Castro said, adding that both sides should show more mutual understanding and support to each other in international affairs.
