
Port Arthur is a former convict settlement in Tasmanian, Australia. It is one of Australia's most significant heritage areas, which represent the history of large scale convict transportation. Nearly two hundred years ago, more than ten thousand convicts were imprisoned here successively. In modern times, the place is very well kept and is constantly renovated.
