FUZHOU, June 19 -- Two people died and over 40 were injured in a road accident in east China's Fujian Province Friday, the local fire department said.

The accident happened on an expressway in Sanming City around 12:40 p.m. when a bus carrying 54 passengers careered off the road and flipped over after colliding with a van.

The bus was heading to Fujian from southwestern Chongqing Municipality.

All the injured have been sent to hospital.
