2. Embrace speaking like Tarzan
To start using a language from the beginning, you absolutely have to embrace 'sounding like an idiot'. A grammar-focused learning approach may work for passing exams, but if you want to get ahead and actually speak with people, it's okay to say things like 'Me want go supermarket'.
Being understood should be the priority. You get the flow that allows you to gain confidence early on, which is essential to reaching fluency later.
