The Titanic replica thatis being built in China has now reached the stage of hull assembly. It is expected to be completed by August 2017, and will serve as a world-class cruise attraction.The first tickets will go on sale in Hong Kong starting from June 15, 2015.
Su Shaojun, CEO of the investor in the Titanic replica project, says that the recreation of Titanic serves not only as a commemoration, but more importantly, encourages people to think of the humanistic spirit the ship represents and maintain it. At this year’s Boao Forum for Asia, the Titanic Foundation was established, and all the money it gathers will be donated to marine charities around the world, representing the unsinkable spirit of Titanic.
