The ship is 270 meters long and 28 meters wide. This Titanic will use over 50,000 tons of steel, exceeding the amount used on an aircraft carrier. The construction of the ship was divided into 3,200 units, based on more than 20,000 blueprints. The replica will not be identical to the original, as the ship has to meet modern security and environmental standards. It will cost 50 percent more than the original (over 1 billion yuan). But in appearance the ship will be exactly like the original.
