| In the summer of 2013, Meng Tao started a club for swimmers in Handan, north China's Hebei Province. Now, he has more than 600 members in his club. Meng Tao said that it was his hobby of free-diving that put him in contact with a globally played sport called underwater hockey. He formed the idea of starting an underwater hockey team the minute he got the news about the First China Underwater Hockey Cup and International Tournament, and will take part in the competition in May, 2015.
