90 bodies of AirAsia victims discovered in Indonesia's waters

JAKARTA, Feb. 3-- Rescuers have found a total of 90 bodies of victims of crashed AirAsia plane from Indonesia's waters, rescuer said on Tuesday.

"So far, as many as 90 corpses have been discovered," Nurul Karlina, official in charge at National Search and Rescue Office told Xinhua via phone.

Search and rescue operation continues and is now undertaken by rescuers from the office and local divers, though Indonesian navy has pulled out its divers, she said.

The AirAsia QZ8501 jet plane crashed in waters between Riau province and Central Kalimantan province on Dec. 28 en route from Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city, to Singapore. All 162 people on board were killed.

Investigators disclosed that the French co-pilot was flying the plane and the pilot was acting as monitoring pilot before it crashed.
