JAKARTA, Jan. 13-- Divers of the Indonesian navy are struggling to free the debris of the crashed AirAsia plane from the bottom of the sea, an official said on Tuesday.

Supriyadi, head of rescue operation for the crashed plane said that five divers have been already on the sea bed and are attempting to remove the debris and five other divers are just about to dive into the scene near the finding of previous large objects.

"Five divers are striving to remove the debris now, and five others are preparing to dive into the scene," he told Xinhua over phone from Pangkalan Bun of Central Kalimantan.

Supriyadi said: "All of the 81 divers are divided in five ships. All of them are preparing to dive."

"So far, the effort to remove the debris is done manually. Let we see the result first," said Supriyadi.

Should the divers find corpses, he said that the divers would evacuate them.
