LONDON, Nov. 27 (People's Daily Online)—— A survey, which has been revealed for the first time, shows that 73 percent of people who live or work in the City of London are concerned about terrorism, while 68 percent of all London adults have concerns. The survey also showed a gender bias: 76 percent of women are concerned about terrorist attacks compared to only 59 percent of men.

And more Londoners (87 percent) think the public are important in fighting terrorism with nearly three quarters (73 percent) saying they are likely to report suspicious behavior to the police.

The survey shows that the message from the City of London Police of remaining vigilant is one shared by the public.

The Commissioner of the City of London police Adrian Leppard said: “The public should be vigilant to the threat posed by terrorism and this survey shows that they are willing to work with the police to prevent such attacks.

The tactics, developed and trialed by the City of London Police as part of a three-year research programme, are key to the success of Project Servator and were adopted by Police Scotland for Commonwealth Games.
