Second, the comprehensive development of the New Silk Road region and the breakthrough in the bilateral relationship between China and Turkey can contribute a lot to the eradication of terrorist organizations.

Third, some European countries and the US have a long-standing and very ambiguous attitude towards East Turkistan terrorism; some even retain a degree of sympathy. As a NATO member, Turkey carries considerable influence among the Turkic communities in these countries. Cooperation between China and Turkey will help to win wider international recognition of counter-terrorist activities in China.

Finally, against a background of globalization, terrorism has become a global phenomenon. China and Turkey's cooperation not only can help with the cleanup work of East Turkistan terrorists' footholds overseas, but can also stop Europe's own radical Islam from developing eastwards.
