HANGZHOU, Oct. 31 -- Thirteen fishermen remained missing after a fishing boat capsized off east China's Zhejiang Province more than a day ago, local maritime authorities said Friday.
The boat sank off the coast of Shengsi county of Zhoushan city, a cluster of islands, at midnight Wednesday after allegedly being hit by a large vessel while en route to a harbor, the city's ocean and fishing bureau said in a press release.
Two of 15 crew members aboard the boat have been rescued and the rest are still missing.
A rescue and search operation, which also involves patrol boats from maritime authorities in Shanghai and nearby fishing boats, is under way.
