| The first water police' detachment is spotted in the Yanxi Lake in the northeastern suburban Huairou District of Beijing. They are preparing for the 2014 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, which will be held in November 2014. The number of police boats will be increased to two and the number of water police detachment will increase from 4 to 12. A police station has also been put up to deal with emergencies at Yanxi Lake.
