Residents in Turpan welcome Grape Festival with the 'Color Run' on the evening on Aug. 19, 2014. More than 600 people in white T-shirts ran 5.2 kilometers before they arrived at the Turpan library.
There were five stations with the colors of red, yellow, blue, purple, green en route, standing for safety, ecology, prosperity, wisdom, and beauty respectively. Volunteers sprinkled colored powders to players' white T-shirts when they passed every colorful station. The more colorful the shirt got, the more wishes one owned. Then all of the participators flocked into the square for a singing and dancing carnival.
