After the outbreak of Ludian earthquake, soldiers and rescue dogs from Yunnan fire department arrived at the epicenter Longtoushan town after an 8-hour journey and started search and rescue work at every disaster site. The soldiers and rescue dogs walked more than 50 kilometers every day, and the rescue dogs had to work excessively. Many people in the quake-stricken area came to visit the sick rescue dog “Lang Zai” (meaning wolf boy) on Aug. 9, 2014.
