BEIJING, Aug. 1 -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a series of meetings of foreign ministers from Aug. 8 to 11 in Myanmar, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced on Friday.
The meetings, held in the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw, will include meetings between foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China; ASEAN and China,Japan and the Republic of Korea; as well as foreign ministers' meetings of the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum, Qin said.
Wang will also visit Myanmar at the invitation of Myanmar's Foreign Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin. Myanmar currently holds the rotating chair of ASEAN.
