The world's largest solar-powered aircraft, Solar Impulse 2, makes its first fly over Paverne, Switzerland on June 2 (local time). Compared to its predecessor, Solar Impulse 2 has better batteries for storing energy soaked up from the sun by the roughly 17,200 solar cells that cover the massive wings. The wingspan can reach 72 meters.(CNS Photo) |
