Chinese Children Learn to Save Animals

A one-week educational campaign to teach children to protect animals wrapped up in Tianjin on October 21, involving 120,000 Chinese students from 180 elementary and middle schools across the country.

The campaign was launched by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. This is the third year such activity was held in China.

This year's theme is to "save animal through science."

Some programs of the activity were financially supported by BBC and the Discovery Channel.

School kids in Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin, three major metropolises of the country, participated in projects to encourage society to care for animals.
