DPRK urged Seoul Sunday to accept their proposal to hold three working level meetings, including a ministerial-level one at Mount Kumgang, through the Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland (CPRF).
The North insisted repeatedly that the South’s fostering of internal division and conflict caused the cancellation of the fourth separated family exchanges, demanding Seoul provide an acceptable explanation and adopt a conciliatory mood.
Prior to the CPRF’s statement, the Rodong Shinmun, the official media of the DPRK, called the South responsible for postponing the anticipated family exchanges in their editorial Saturday, titled ‘Take the Fake Humanitarian Hat Off.’
