Taiwan Media Greatly Appreciate Exhibition of Terra-cotta Warriors

As reported from Taipei, the ongoing exhibition of "Terra-cotta Warriors" at Taipei National Museum of History has aroused great interests among the residents there.

The exhibition was opened on December 18 and is to last for three months. So far, over 6000 people have visited the show and all the tickets up till next January have already been sold out.

According to Taiwan newspapers, visitors of all ages have been fascinated by the 121 pieces of cultural relics on display, esp. the 17 life-sized statues of soldiers and chariots excavated from the tomb of Qinshihuang, the first emperor of China. It is believed that the large-scale exhibition will promote cross-straits cultural exchanges and bring the gap much closer than before.

Taiwan newspapers said that even some wheel-chaired visitors showed up at the premiere of the "Terra-cotta Warriors", which, coming from the ancient city of Xi'an, has helped to remind every visitor of their longing for home and great treasures created by the Chinese nation.
