Maiden Flight from Chendu to Jiuzhaigou Successful

A Yun 12-IV plane of the Sichuan Airlines completed its maiden flight from Chendu to Jiuzhaigou, a well-known scenic spot in southwest China's Sichuang Province.

The plane took off at the Wenjiang Airport in the Sichuan provincial capital of Chengdu at 11:38 and landed at 12:35 in the airport in Jiuzhaigou.

Jiuzhaigou, located in the Minshan Mountains, is best known for its rolling mountains, dense forests and cascading waterfalls. But the Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou air route was considered the "forbidden zone" because of the 4,000-meter high mountains and the changeable airflow.
