Chinese NPC Vice-Chairman Meets Kiribati Parliament Leader
Jiang Zhenghua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met Sunday with Tekiree Tamuera, speaker of Kiribati's House of Assembly.
Jiang said that bilateral relations have been developing steadily since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1980, and leaders of the two countries have had frequent exchanges of visits, and the two parliaments have also had increased exchanges.
Jiang appreciated Kiribati's consistent adherence to the one-China policy.
In addition to Beijing, Tamuera will also tour Xi'an, Hangzhou and Shanghai.
