Snoopy, a world-known cartoon dog created by cartoonist Charles Schulz, celebrated its 50th birthday here Thursday with a number of Snoopy-loving parents and children.
The birthday party, held by a local McDonald's as a tribute to Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, features a collection of the latest and cutest Snoopy plush toys in six different outfits representing each decade from Snoopy's first appearance in 1950 to Schulz's last comic strip in 2000.
Six couples, each comprising a young girl and a child dressed in Snoopy costumes, recreated the world-famous dog in six different decades, from Joe Cool Snoopy, Love and Peace Snoopy, Sailor Snoopy, Skateboarder Snoopy, to an Astronaut Snoopy.
