ROK, DPRK Ambassadors to China Meet
The ROK ambassador to China had an unprecedented meeting on July 26 with the DPRK ambassador at the DPRK Embassy in Beijing.
ROK Ambassador Kwon Byong-hyon, who will leave his post on August 7, visited DPRK Ambassador Chu Chang Jun to bid an official farewell. This was the first time a South Korean ambassador to China has entered the DPRK embassy.
The meeting is attracting considerable attention following a wave of reconciliatory gestures after the first inter-Korean summit between the leaders of both nations.
