Beijing Becomes Important Center for Transnationals

On June 28, eleven world-famous transnational corporations, including Compaq, IBM, Samsung and ABB set up their China headquarters in Beijing, becoming the first group in obtaining the certification granted by the Beijing municipal government for their China headquarters.

By the end of May, Beijing had approved a total of more than 15,000 foreign-funded enterprises with the contractual foreign investment of US$ 28.7 billion. what is particularly attractive is the fact that over 150 out of the world top 500 transnational corporations have invested in Beijing. Famous transnationals have established over 110 investing companies here. The two items both rank first in China.
