The Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) sent a letter to the Foundation of Exchanges across the Taiwan Straits Sunday, expressing sympathy and solicitude for the injured in an earthquake.
The earthquake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, rocked central Taiwan at 02:23 hours (Beijing time) June 11, according to the State Seismological Bureau in Beijing.
The quake was felt all over the island, with the epicenter at the county of Nantou.
