Japanese Cabinet Indicates Tibet Issue Is China's Internal Affairs

Mikio Aoki, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, has indicated that Tibet issue belongs to China's internal affair during an interview with the journalists on February 23.

Mikio Aoki voiced the above-mentioned view while commenting on the matter about Ishihara Shintaro, mayor of Tokyo who recently declared that the Dalai Lama would be invited to visit Tokyo in spring this year. He said the Japanese government "knew nothing about this matter", said Mikio Aoki. He indicated that the Japanese government will stick to the stand that the Tibet issue belongs to China's internal affairs. This stand will remain unchanged even in the future.
