Sci-Tech A Hacker Cracked in Dalian

A hacker's attack on a computer information system has recently been uncovered in Dalian.

At three o'clock in the afternoon on February 1, the computer security supervisory department of Dalian Public Security Bureau was informed on an unknown hacker's intrusion on and destruction of a network service company's information system. Supervisors of the computer security supervisory department hurried to the spot for inspection. Through careful technical tests they finally succeeded in tracing and ferreting out the hacker. At 8 o'clock in the evening, the e-mail service system of the company crashed down, bringing serious economic losses to the company.

February 2, the hacker was summoned to the Public Security Bureau, with his computer found. Through investigation, the unknown hacker, Xie, is a graduate from a famous university, as deputy section chief serving in an institutional department in Dlian. Being a computer fan, he downloaded hacker program from the Internet, then had it run by the e-mail server of the company. He admits the crime he has committed but claims that his attacking on the server is only to surf on the Internet through the company's information system.
