Sports China Ranks First in Accumulation Points in World Cup Short-Course Swimming

The 12th leg (also the last stop) of the World Cup short-course swimming meet was concluded in Sweden's Malmo on Feb 16. The total accumulation points of 17 men and women's events have come out in advance. China ranked first in three events and equaled the US to stand in the first group for the time being.

In other 11 events, two athletes from Canada and two from Italy respectively ranked first and the remaining seven contestants from Hungary, Germany, Poland, Spain, Romania, Australia and Great Britain each took the first placing.

Chinese Yang Yu and Ruan Yi were listed at the first place in women's 200m freestyle by 121 and women's 100 butterfly by 121 and Chinese new star Xie Xufeng in men's 100m medley by 103.
