Sports Chinese Women Soccer Team : Spotlight of Dragon Year

The most attractive in the sports field in the Year of the Dragon is the Chinese Women Soccer Team who will contend for the gold medal in the coming Olympic Games in Sydney of Australia.

Sources have it that the Chinese Women Soccer Team had a week-long Spring Festival holiday from February 3 to 9. On February 10, all the team members returned to Panyu in south China's Guangdong Province for training till March 5.

From March 6, as the champion-defending team, Chinese Women Soccer Team will visit Portugal and take part in a match to rival the American, Norwegian and other strong world teams. After that they will also visit Germany and the Netherlands.

On May 10, The national team will assemble again, preparing for an invitational tournament of Pacific Ocean area to be held in Australia from June 1 to 10. In early July, the team will go to Germany to take part in the Four-Country (the United States, China, Norway and Germany) Invitational Tournament in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Germany Soccer Association. In late July, the team will be stationed in the West Hill of Beijing for closed training, making final preparations for the Sydney Olympic Games.
