Business China's Main Import Commodities from U.S.

Following are facts and figures about China's main import commodities from the United States in 1999, released by the General Administration of Customs

Machinery and electronic products and audiovisual equipment and relevant parts and accessories were

8,018.201 million U.S. dollars.

Chemical products were 2,715.449 million U.S. dollars.

Transportation equipment was 1,716.791 million U.S. dollars.

Instruments were 1,219.306 million U.S. dollars.

Plastic products were 1,049.971 million U.S. dollars.

Facts & Figures: China's Exports to U.S. in 1999.

Meanwhile, China's major export commodities to the

United States in 1999 was as below:

Export of machines,

electronic goods, audiovisual equipment and relevant parts and accessories was 12.422 billion

U.S. dollars.

Export of shoes, caps, umbrella, feather products and artificial products was 5 billion U.S.

dollars.

Export of textile materials and products was 3.976 billion U.S. dollars

Export of toys and sport goods was 3.910 billion U.S. dollars.
