Business Highway to Link East China Provinces

A new superhighway to be constructed between east China's Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces will cut the time of travel by car between the capital cities of the two provinces from seven hours to two hours.

The construction of the 200-kilometer highway will start on July 1. Stretching between Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu, and Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang, the superhighway will pass through five counties and cities in the two provinces.

Pang Shungen, director of the Communications Bureau of Nanjing city, said that the superhighway will promote economic development, especially tourism in Nanjing and Hangzhou.
