Business Singapore Firm Invest in China's 'Silicon Valley'

The Zhongguancun Scientific Park will get more money as Beijing Enterprises Holdings Ltd. (BEHL) of China and Temasek Holdings of Singapore signed a letter of intent on cooperation today.

In the letter the two sides agreed on investing in high-tech enterprises in Zhongguancun and urban infrastructure projects in Beijing.

Leaders of Beijing and Deputy Chairman of Temasek Holdings Kwa Chong Seng attended the signing ceremony.

Officials say that the Beijing municipal government welcomes experienced overseas companies to invest in Beijing.

BEHL is Beijing's only listed company on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Temasek Holdings invests in southeast Asia and around the globe. (Xinhua)
