Changdu-Lhasa Air Line Opens to Traffic
China Southwest Airlines has opened an air route from the Panda Airport in Changdu at the highest sea level in the world and the Gonga Airport in Lhasa. It is the first air line between two points in the Tibet Autonomous Region. .
The airlines had flown the virgin flight with a Boeing 757-200
With the opening of the air route, Tibet now has 8 air routes and it takes merely one hour from Changdu to Lhasa by air instead of 4-5 days by land.
