Culture Asian Modern Dance Troupes Performing in Guangzhou

Top nine modern dance troupes across Asia have been staging a number of performances since the weekend in the capital city of south China's Guangdong Province.

"Asian Dance Celebration for The New Millennium" includes performing troupes from Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Malaysia, as well as from Taiwan and Hong Kong. Troupes from Beijing and Guangzhou are expected to stage a total of 14 performances.

A series of cultural exchange activities on modern dance are also going to be hosted during the eight-day event at the joint sponsorship of the Modern Dance Company of Guangdong and the provincial International Art Exchange Center.
