Culture Harbin International Snow Sculpture Contest ends

After four days of competition at the fifth Harbin International Snow Sculpture Contest, time to complete the snow sculptures ran out on January 13.

A committee judged the eleven snow sculptures and awarded first prize to a Russian team for their piece "Russian Bathroom." Second prizes were awarded to one Chinese team for "Warrior God Chiyou" and a Hong Kong team for "International Lion Aggregate Symbol;" third prize for a Canadian team's "New Life", a Chinese team's "The Legend of Riyuetan Pool" and an American team's "Millenium Bug." "China Welcomes You" by a Swiss team was awarded the jury's special prize.
